Workshop Agenda:
Introduction to underglazes: Understanding colour, surface, form, clay body, texture, and style.
Application Techniques: Explore brushwork, etching, wax resist, inlay, wash, layering, line work, and textural responses.
Firing and Glazing Considerations: Learn about firing processes and considerations for glazing with underglazes.
Objectives:
By the end of the workshop, participants will:
Gain confidence in beginning developing their own underglaze style.
Understand basic design principles.
Learn various application techniques.
Acquire knowledge of firing and glazing considerations.

For this class you will need to bring:
4-6 pieces you are not precious about. At least 2x bone dry piece and 2x Bisqued piece to play on. We recommend simple round forms like a bowl or tumbler. Recommend size 20cm x 20cm max

Requirements:
Participants must register in advance.
No prior underglaze experience necessary.

Registration and Payment: Participants must register in advance for the workshop and make the necessary payment to secure their spot. Payment details will be provided upon registration.
Cancellation and Refunds: Cancellations made up to one week before the workshop will receive a full refund. Cancellations made less than one week before the workshop will not be eligible for a refund.
Health and Safety: Participants must adhere to all safety guidelines provided during the workshop. This includes wearing appropriate attire and handling materials with care to prevent accidents or injury.
Attendance: Participants are expected to arrive on time for the workshop. Latecomers may not be admitted, and refunds will not be provided for missed sessions.
Materials and Equipment: All necessary materials and equipment for the workshop will be provided. Participants are responsible to bring the materials and equipment listed in under Students Material List.
Intellectual Property: Any techniques, designs, or methods taught during the workshop remain the intellectual property of the instructor Rosie Parsonson. Participants may not reproduce, distribute or teach workshop content without explicit permission.
Photography and Recording: Photography and recording of the workshop proceedings are allowed only with prior consent from the instructor and other participants. Any materials captured must not be used for commercial purposes or teaching without permission.
Conduct: Respectful and appropriate conduct is expected from all participants. Any disruptive or disrespectful behavior may result in removal from the workshop without refund.
Liability: The organizers and instructors are not liable for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by participants during the workshop, except in cases of negligence or misconduct.
Changes and Cancellations: The organizers reserve the right to make changes to the workshop schedule, content, or instructors if necessary. In the event of unforeseen circumstances or low enrollment, the workshop may be canceled, and participants will receive a full refund.
Age Restrictions: Participants under the age of 16 may be required to have parental consent to attend the workshop. Age restrictions may vary depending on the nature of the workshop.
